The Gradient Story: Wigs That Break Free From The Ordinary

The Gradient Story: Wigs That Break Free From The Ordinary

The Gradient Theory Shoot was a custom editorial project created by E.T Wigs to explore the idea of transformation, not just in how we look, but in how we feel. It wasn’t about launching a wig collection or following a colour trend. The goal was to demonstrate how wigs can convey movement and fluidity in a natural and personal manner.

The Concept Behind Gradient Theory

The shoot was based on a simple idea: transformation. Sometimes, it’s subtle - a shift in tone, a change in mood, or a soft transition in colour. That’s what Gradient Theory is about. It's about colour that blends, fades, and flows.

Custom Wigs, Made In-House

All the wigs in the shoot were made in-house by E.T Wigs founder, Endah Tche. Each piece was custom-designed specifically for the project, with colour and texture chosen to reflect the theme of transformation. These wigs were made to work with the light, skin, and the overall visual study into gradients and colours.

A Focus on Hair, Light, and Skin

Captured by photographer Tallulah, the shoot focused on how hair interacts with light and skin. The colours used in the wigs were soft and blended, with pastel tones and fibres that could catch light and shadow. The hand-painted backdrop by @g3negraphy aids the exploration of gradients. Model Liberty Love brought the looks to life with movement and presence, showing how the wigs adapt to different moods and angles.

Why Gradient?

Endah chose the concept of a gradient because it represents the kind of transformation that E.T Wigs believes in - one that’s smooth, flexible, confident and ongoing. The wigs designed in this project reflect that idea, using materials that hold shape but still feel lightweight and natural.

What This Means for E.T Wigs

The Gradient Theory shoot shows that wigs can be more than just a style change - they can be part of how you express growth, confidence and identity. At E.T Wigs, we believe in creating hair that supports transformation in all its forms. Whether it’s a full switch-up or a subtle shift, our wigs are made to help you feel like the next version of you.
